A POEM: FROM HERE TO THE MOON AND BACK

*A POEM: *From Here to the Moon and Back**

I have measured the distance in heartbeats, not miles,

A journey of longing stretched over the skies.

With hands outstretched past gravity’s hold,

I send you my love in whispers untold.

The moon leans close to gather my sighs,

Silver-lit letters that drift through the night.

It cradles my promise in soft lunar light,

Then sends it back home on the wings of the tide.

From here to the moon and back, I swear,

Not even the void could silence my care.

Time may unravel, the stars may decay,

But love like this never drifts far away.

So whether my voice is near or it's waning,

Whether I'm standing or softly refraining,

Know that the orbit always aligns—

Your heart in mine, forever entwined.
