THE UNSEEN STRUGGLES
As I stood in the darkness, cigarette in hand, I felt the weight of my own demons. The confidence I exuded to the world was a facade, a mask to hide my own insecurities.   That's when I saw her - a beautiful woman, elegant and poised. I envied her perfection, assuming she had it all figured out. But then, a gentle whisper reminded me: "Every beauty comes alongside its own thorns."   In that moment, I found solace. Behind every beautiful face, there's a story of struggle, of perseverance, of resilience.   To all the women out there, I see you. I see the battles you fight, the doubts you silence, and the strengths you wield.   Remember, being a woman is not a competition; it's a journey. Ignore the negativity, trust yourself, and trust the timing of your life.   Happy International Women's Day to all the women

Lagos Traffic Situation During The Festive Season
What is Lagos like during the festive season? Lagos in December is a city transformed. The streets are aglow with festive lights, and the air is electric with the hum of celebration. But amidst all the cheer, there's a not-so-merry reality: traffic.   December in Lagos means traffic on steroids. The roads are a sea of brake lights, and the soundscape is a cacophony of horns, revving engines, and the occasional shout of frustration. It's a time when a 15-minute drive can stretch into a two-hour ordeal.   But Lagosians are a hardy bunch. We've learned to adapt, to find the humor in the chaos, and to make the most of our time stuck in traffic. We've perfected the art of survival, with snacks, phone chargers, and even blankets at the ready.   And then there's the nightlife. When the sun dips below the horizon, Lagos comes alive with parties, concerts, and weddings. The roads leading to event centers are congested, but that doesn't stop us. We'll arrive fashionably late, laughing and joking with fellow partygoers.   For all its chaos, the festive traffic is a testament to Lagos's indomitable spirit. We're a city that never slows down, even when the cars do. So as Christmas approaches, we'll grit our teeth, put on our favorite playlists, and face the traffic head-on. After all, in Lagos, life is a journey, not a destination.

Volunteers: You Request, We Make It Happen.
Want to hear a quick story, one that would make you appreciate volunteers? Here's a quick one. In the heart of Harmonyville, a small town with a big heart, something special was brewing. It was Volunteers' Day, a celebration of the unsung heroes who kept the community thriving.   Sarah, a shy librarian, had always admired volunteers. She longed to give back, but life got in the way. That was until she attended the Volunteers' Day ceremony.   As she listened to stories of selfless individuals, something stirred within her. There was Mr. Ade, a retired teacher who had mentored countless students. And Miriam, a nurse who had dedicated her weekends to running free health clinics.   Their words struck a chord with Sarah. She remembered her grandmother's wisdom: "Kindness is like a ripple in water – it travels far and wide."   Inspired, Sarah signed up to volunteer. She was paired with Mama Ime, an elderly woman who needed someone to read to her weekly. Over time, their connection grew, and Sarah discovered the joy of giving.   Months later, Sarah was invited to speak at the next Volunteers' Day. She shared her story, and the crowd erupted into applause.   Sarah realized that volunteering wasn't just about changing the world – it was about being part of something bigger than oneself. And so, Harmonyville continued to thrive, thanks to people like Sarah, Mr. Ade, and Miriam, who proved that kindness can light up even the darkest corners.   As the town celebrated Volunteers' Day, everyone was inspired to ask themselves: "What ripple will I create?" ........ The endπŸ˜‡ Today is world volunteer Day, whether for a brand, a hospital, a church or at home we all volunteer in our everyday activities to attend a common goal.  I celebrate all volunteers today πŸŽ† πŸŽ†

WORLD DISABILITY DAY
December 3rd, World Disability Day: A STORY OF RESILIENCE AND HOPE        As the world comes together to commemorate World Disability Day, I am reminded of the countless individuals who, despite the odds, continue to inspire and thrive. From the bustling streets of Lagos to the vibrant markets of Nairobi, the stories of people with disabilities in Africa are a testament to the human spirit's capacity for resilience and hope.   Meet Aisha, a bright and ambitious young woman from Kano, Nigeria. Born with cerebral palsy, Aisha has faced numerous challenges throughout her life. However, she has never let her disability define her. With the support of her family and community, Aisha pursued her passion for education, earning a degree in special education. Today, she works tirelessly as an advocate for inclusive education, empowering others with disabilities to reach their full potential.   Aisha's story is just one of many that highlight the importance of accessibility and inclusivity. In Nigeria, where an estimated 19 million people live with disabilities, the need for greater support and resources is pressing. Despite progress in recent years, many individuals with disabilities continue to face significant barriers to education, employment, and healthcare.   Across Africa, the situation is similar. In many countries, people with disabilities are often marginalized and excluded from mainstream society. However, there are also countless examples of innovation and progress. From the development of accessible technologies to the growth of inclusive education initiatives, Africa is home to a vibrant and dynamic disability rights movement.   As we mark World Disability Day, it is essential that we recognize the achievements and contributions of people with disabilities. We must also acknowledge the many challenges that remain and recommit ourselves to creating a more inclusive and accessible world.   In Nigeria, this means implementing policies and programs that support the rights and empowerment of people with disabilities. It means investing in accessible infrastructure, promoting inclusive education, and providing opportunities for economic empowerment.   As Aisha's story so powerfully illustrates, people with disabilities are not objects of pity or charity. They are agents of change, leaders, and innovators who deserve our respect, recognition, and support. On this World Disability Day, let us celebrate the diversity and strength of the disability community, and let us recommit ourselves to creating a world that is truly inclusive and accessible to all.
