There she was, sunbathing atop Claw Cliff. Bare-chested, with her colorful neck beads draping from her shoulder lines all the way down, just above her breasts. Her deep chocolate skin shimmered underneath the blazing sun. Her ebony hair sprawled across the lush green grasses. Right from where they stood at the edge of their ships, ogling through their medieval binoculars. Vrin Lillith was an ethereal beauty to behold. Colonel Will McClure and his second comrade, Rolfe Smith—who were initially hesitant and annoyed just at the thought of yet another expedition survey of another 'Black Land' in advance for futuristic plans of the Crown—on seeing the beautiful woman resting on the hill, their repulse rapidly spun into a spike of thrill and sheer enthrallment. On getting to the seashore, the hefty, dark, and tall soldiers were already at the sea lines, several weapons in hand. Truly, these people were just as they were described by others. They were far more civilized and developed in technology. Fighting them on arrival would definitely mean losing the battle immediately. So, like they were instructed back in England, they progressed with snail steps, both hands above their heads and with a slight bow. They could see the array of men gradually retract, following signs from one man. He seemed to be their leader or something. As assumed, the particular man that stood out gallantly walked out of the pack towards them. A demeaning look was written all over his face. He sniffed in air with his wide nostrils and adjusted his masculine pose. To their surprise, a question followed: "What you want?" Though Col. McClure and his Second were quite shaken, they weren't so stunned considering how much, and how highly, they had heard of these people. So, with a little flicker of a wave from his hands, the half-dozen men who followed them opened their boxes... The tall, dark men remained unmoved. Slowly, he shifted his gaze, assessing them, before uttering the words, **'Oh, I see you come for visit?'** "It is not in my place to let in. We wait!" he announced. At the hem of those words, there seemed to be a stir-up in the troop of men. Parting through, a palanquin carried on the arms of some men in different attire blossomed forth. With the way they set down the carriage and the receding adjustment of the lead soldier's stance, it was obvious the person who just arrived was not ordinary. Within split seconds, the doors followed by the curtains were parted, and there she was. Though adorned in different attire, it was still similar in style, and there was no mistaking that hair, skin, and body outline. Standing out and tall, all the soldiers took a bow. They didn't dare think of not following suit. She was their Queen, the very centre of everything... TO BE CONTINUED ...
