WHERE I SEE MYSELF
I have been asked this question more than once by a person so dear and now here comes the question again. My greatest fear isn't the question but lack of words to give a response, the fear that I might not be that person and I'd disappoint whomever I give a response. Funny isn't it? It's about me yet I'm bothering about what people would say and how they'd feel. So this poem is for you GLORY A woman of substances Virtuous and kind Born into a fierce world of inequality Where women are told what they can  and can't be Rising about their demeaning  expectations Soaring with reckless abandon  Without fear because you owe no one an explanation Just you, I and myself. To my humble self I'll say this . In 5 years time  I'll be a woman many would look up to  industrious, a CEO of a shoe brand a business woman and career driven. I don't know when next you'll read this   so I will say this now in advance You owe no one nothing so walk with grace move with zeal have that passion and get into action You may not see it yet but it's close ,I can feel it. I love you and you know that .

TESTIMONIAL: MY GROWTH JOURNEY WITH PEDDLON
My testimonial  I love stories, poetry and writing, there's this peace that comes with it. Growing up,my one of my greatest comfort was writing,it didn't have to make sense to anyone. It was one of the ways I could speak without actually speaking. But the PEDDLON community taught me more,it made me realize writing in whatever form was a therapeutic and a message to the world. I am more in love with writing and proud to be a writer  I am better Bolder and  Open minded to learning  And I am proud of this journey so far So to the PEDDLON community I say a big THANK YOU for the efforts and relentlessness, the teachings and so much more.

An article on the government of the people  In school I was told that a man once defined Government as "Government of the people, by the people, for the people" that man was none other than Abraham Lincoln on November 19, 1863, during the American Civil War.  This speech emphasized the principles of democracy and equality. In Nigeria, our beloved country known as the giant of Africa, with citizens full of strength and strong will. They adapt in any area, people of zeal and passion. Yet The government,so lackadaisical, only after their pocket and stomach ignore the people and their voice keeps sinking down in the ever noisy wave of power. Nigeria need not just any government but a government chosen by the people,a leadership that listens to their voice, hear their want and fulfil their desire.

CONSISTENCY  I was never a dedicated person,I never finished what I started. In school, teachers complained, at home my parents complained. My mom would always say " you are a lady, this is not a good life to live,be consistent,it pays. " But I told myself that I had all the time in the world, I was still young, I kept procrastinating. I grew up with a fixed mindset that I'll change and outgrow it,I thought it came with age.  Eventually,I got a job but I kept lagging always the last to submit a report ,the last to prepare for a meeting, until a day came. My nightmare began,my dad fell ill,I procrastinated as usual ,I told her take him to the hospital that I will transfer the money needed for his treatment. My mother reminded me of my inconsistency and procrastination but I paid her no heed. I forgot about my dad's health and as usual I silenced my phone .when i remembered that my father was ill ,I picked up my phone to see numerous missed calls and a message popped up. I told you this life of inconsistency would cost you a lot, your father is no more . I broke down ,I thought it comes with age,I thought I will get mature and be consistent with time . At that point,I made up my mind to be consistent,I was no longer the last at anything,my mom stopped speaking to me,it took years but at last she did. I was promoted and won an award as the best staff of the year,I realized being consistent at any thing in life pays.

PIERCING SILENCE  I know a man loving ,tender and kind Whose smile lits the room and his parents house But life will always come to play. After all,who says the world pities anyone? Even a child is not safe from it's cruelty . Meet emeka the son of a great man of God,fervent in prayers and known for his faith, whose name rings a bell where ever he goes . Emeka like any good son wanted to be just like his father but alas, the devil struck, that day when that tragedy befell him,it seemed the sky wept for the loss of both soul as if mourning with him. He became an orphan in a blink of an eye,he questioned God, growing up with the bitterness in his heart,he rebelled against God.  When he was asked why? he said ,why serve a God who can't protect his own? years flew and he still held grudges in his heart but one faithful day he came across a preacher , who didn't preach, nor tried to convince him of God's love. He only said a verse John 3 vs16, emeka has heard that verse for long,it definitely wasn't his first time but why was it pricking his soul? He fell on his knees and wept, confessing to God and letting go of the hate. You think God made misfortune come his way ? NO, he repented not because God threw affliction his way ,he wasn't afflicted but because God being God,his time though not known, nor fully understood by mankind is perfect, slow and comes in slience. God,in his stillness,he waited.
